Improvisation Workshop

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The Improvisation Workshop will be a 75-minute intensive, for all Improv Olympix participants, on the basic principles of improvisation applied to a selection of exercises and games. The workshop instructor, Theresa R. Dudeck, Ph.D., has facilitated impro workshops all over the world and is a foremost teacher/scholar of pioneer of impro Keith Johnstone’s methods.
Everyone is highly encouraged to attend the workshop. If an entire team cannot attend, the team should send at least one representative but preferably more. Individual participants are required to attend, because at the end of the workshop they will be sorted into scratch teams by Keylee Anderson, emcee/director of the competition that evening.
The workshop will stress the principles of improvisation, with a strong focus on inspiring your partner, collaboration, and creating a supportive atmosphere where degrading or baseless humor at the expense of others has no place.
