Since joining the GU theatre & dance faculty in 2014, Charlie has directed Much Ado About Nothing, Book of Hours, Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, and Coming Home: a Soldiers’ Project for Gonzaga. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in China from 2010-2012 where he directed cross-cultural productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Tempest at Guizhou University. He works as Producing Artistic Director at Square Top Theatre where he develops new interdisciplinary work. Recent directorial credits at STT include premieres of The Sun is in the West (2010) and Now at the Uncertain Hour (2014) by Damon Falke and the film Laura, or Scenes from a Common World (2016).
